I racked and racked my brain for something neat and fun to make for St. Patrick's Day. Finally, I decided I would make the kids green chocolate dipped oreos and decorate the tops with M&Ms. I made them tonight since my hubby and I were having a dessert that the kids were allergic to.
- Follow instructions on packet to melt the almond bark in microwave. Then add green food coloring until you get to the shade of green you want.
- Dip the oreos in the chocolate. I only did two at a time to make it easier. I placed them in and then flipped it over with a spoon. I used the spoon to pour a little of the chocolate on top of the oreo. I took the bottom of the spoon and lightly smoothed the chocolate on top. I gently removed them from the bowl and placed them on wax paper. I then used the candies to create a shamrock (not very good but the ones with three on them) and tried to do a four leaf clover and rainbow but as you can see the creativity wasn't doing very well 🙂
