Nut Topping for Salad

Nut Topping for Salad

By April 10, 2012

I REALLY enjoy  having this on hand to add to add to my salads throughout the week.  I crave crunchy things so this helps my craving. And it adds at  little protein too when I don't have some sort of meat to add to my salad so it has some staying power.

You can use any nut of combination of nuts that you like. Here I have equal parts of raw cashew pieces, raw sliced almonds and pecans pieces.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Just a enough butter to cover the bottom of a small pan when melted.
  • House Seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic) to taste.
  • Simply add everything to a pan over medium heat until butter is melted and the nuts just begin to brown a little.
  • Let them cool on a paper towel. Use them to top a salad and store the rest for another day.
