- Prep Time : 15 minutes
- Cook Time : 30 minutes
- Take okra and wash. Cut off tops and ends. Cut in to small pieces. Cover with corn meal. It needs to still be damp for meal to stick. Put oil into skillet and have it heat before putting in okra. Brown and stir - then put into oven at 450 for it to finish cooking, stirring evenly now and then. When brown and drier take out.
- If getting okra ready for freezing- wash and cut, put meal on and then put in freezer bags. When ready to use thaw halfway and put in hot skillet with oil and cook same as above.
