For Spring Break we took our son (7) and nephew (10) to Disney World. We also drove which meant we were in the car about 13 hours each way. So I decided I would make the trip as special as possible. Along with snacks I had some trick and treat up my sleeve. And EVERYTHING was covered in DISNEY!

Goodies for the ride, included new soft blankets (which is a must for my son) clip boards, cups, reading lights, binders of activities and pens and games, and some activity books.

The binders had a pencil case with highlighters, pens, and pencils, games like tic tac toe, license plate check off lists, maps of all the parks so they could talk about their plans and what they wanted to see and do. I also had a couple of special items to add to the binder along the way which I will touch on in another post.

I added their initials to the cups and clipboards and put everything in these reusable shopping bags that I found at Disney store on clearance. I told them all their stuff had to fit in their bag and the pockets in the back of the seats. This way our small car had some order.

I got these mesh pocket things at the dollar tree and I think they were meant for the shower but I just tied them onto the back of the seats and it gave a great place for ipods, sunglasses, cups and each had a small package of wet wipes.

And since it seems every time you stop for gas or the bathroom everyone wants a snack I had lots of snacks at the ready to save time, money, and to reduce the junk food a bit. I had fruit snacks, popcorn, peanut butter crackers, etc. I also got a couple packs of candy then spilt them into smaller bags, so they still got the sweet treat they wanted but not a king size box from the gas station.
