I LOVE this over the sink strainer. I think EVERYONE should have one. You can wash, cut etc over your sink and still  use the sink etc. I really like this version that is a wire mesh so when I make chicken broth I put a large bowl under the stainer and pour the broth through, so the veggies and unwanted stuff stay up in the strainer and not in the broth.  I also really enjoy this when making salsa, and spaghetti sauce to keep out tomato seeds or when making jelly.
