Fiesta Time

Amber and I have 2 kitchens, 4 hours apart, but while so much is different we have one common obsession in our kitchens. We both use, and LOVE our Fiestaware dishes.

Note From Amber:

I love love love Fiestaware. I had always liked it but never had any of it and then really fell in love with it when visiting my friend, Lara. She has so many different colors and when I asked her about them she told me some were hers, some were her grandmothers and some were her mothers. I love the idea of having something that you can pass down in your family. I was at her house one time around Easter and her dining room table was set with all of the different pastel colors and it looked beautiful! By this time some of the cheap dishes my husband had gotten when we first gotten married has broken and we were losing more and more of them. We went and bought the peacock and chocolate colors because they match our kitchen. This past Christmas I told my father in law I wanted a new color and he bought be a yellow, a red and paprika color. So now this is going to be the gift that I ask for every year from him. I want to get a wide variety of colors so that I can switch them in and out depending on the meal, season and holiday. Here are some pics of my Fiestaware.

We did recently found a new coffee cup by Fiestaware and bought ten different colors. I absolutely love the size and shape of these new mugs. I can’t wait until I have plates and bowls to match all ten!!!

Note from Ann Kelly:

My LOVE of Fiestaware begin early in life as a small child. One of my Mother’s dear friends that live hours away had cabinets full  of Fiesta that belonged to her mother in law whom also lived with them. This was the Original stuff and were wedding gifts. From that time one I said I wanted fiesta when I grew up. And when I was in college I began collecting it. Mainly seconds and pieces with flaws etc, since that was all I could afford. Then when I got married we registered for all things Fiesta. I have ALL colors and have weeded out most of the pastels in my collection and passed them on to other friends. But almost daily when I open my cabinets I think about those dishes years ago that I thought were so beautiful.
