We have started trying to grow Wheat Grass, my husband has been getting wheat grass “shots” from juice bars when he travels with work and wanted to try to have some at home. WHY wheat grass, you may ask:

• There is a lot of attention to this super food
• It is very highly concentrated and it is estimated that 1 oz of wheat grass juice has the nutritional value of 2.5 pounds of garden vegetables.
• it has vitamins and minerals that nourish the blood, help with digestion, and it is know for its anti tumor activity.

We just have to figure out how much to grow at a time to fit our needs. This tray is NOT enough but we are working on getting a thicker crop and more trays. I ordered my wheat grass seeds from Mountain Rose Herbs. We will continue to keep you updated on how this venture goes.

The plan for our house is to cut the grass and juice it and freeze it to add to my husbands Morning Smoothie.
