Meals for a 5 Year Old

Some of our most viewed posts are ideas about what our kids eat. These are not exciting pictures or exciting meals but they are some typical meals for my 5 year old. I am always trying to come up with new EASY and FAST meals for my son. We eat 3 meals a day at home which meals a lot of meals and when he is ready for a meal he does not want to wait around for a long time. My son also snacks often with fresh fruits, veggies and nuts with the snacking his plates would be a bit fuller.

Meals for a 5 Year Old-1

Breakfast: half banana (other half was in his morning smoothie) chocolate chip pancakes thawed from the freezer from another day, and bacon. I cut my bacon in half when I cook it so he thinks he getting “more” than he really is since he thinks bacon is the greatest food known to man.

Meals for a 5 Year Old2

Lunch: toasted cheese sandwich, fresh carrots right from the farmers market, raw spinach, trail mix, and a cut pear.

Meals for a 5 Year Old3

Dinner: Toast, green beans with potatoes, strawberries, Ranch Dressing, raw carrots, and broccoli sprouts. This Night he wanted a smoothie for dinner too so his plate looks a little bare.

Meals for a 5 Year Old4

Dinner: Peas, Raw spinach (which he LOVES), applesauce, and baked fish.
