Cooking on Sundays 3

We hope you are enjoying our posts on Cooking on Sundays. It is work but serving your family a good hot meal and relaxing for the afternoon is SO WORTH it.

This week’s Meal can actually all be in the fridge when you come home from church and be on the table in 10 mins.

Lasagna and our Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing

Cooking on Sundays 3-1

Salad with Poppy Seed Vinaigrette that can be read the night before and before the meal just add the oranges and the nuts. Along with Mom’s Lasagna Or Lasagna of your choice. When I make Lasagna I keep half out and freeze half. I only have 2 adults that eat it so half of the recipe will feed us 2-3 meals. For the half I am freezing I line a dish with foil layer the lasagna and over with foil. Then once it is froze I take it out of the baking dish and just store the foil wrapped goodness until I need it.

Above is my frozen Lasagna right from the freezer and below it is in it original baking dish and ready for the oven.

Cooking on Sundays 3-3

If you want to cook this on Sunday morning and have it hot for lunch just put it in your oven before you leave and set the oven to come on an hour – an hour and a half before you plan to eat. However Lasagna warms up so well and is easier to cut and serve once it is cooled. So I would cook Saturday night and just warm up for Sunday lunch.
