Inside Out Chocolate Strawberries
This is another KEEPER.... and will be a REPEAT at my house. I found this idea on Pintrest From Lily Shop. I had company so I was looking for a little dessert but did not want anything heavy so this fit our needs. We LOVE and I mean LOVE chocolate covered strawberries but these will keep better (if you can refrain from eating them all) and are less messy. I also took a carton to my neighbors and they really enjoyed them too.
- Prep Time : 5 minutes
- Cook Time : 15 minutes
Ingredients
- Large Strawberries - 2 dozen
- Chocolate Chips - 1 cup
- Chocolate Candy Coating - 4 squares (almond bark)
Instructions
- Cut off the tops of the berries and you may have to cut out the centers most we just cut the top off and they already had a hole waiting for us. Then I placed the hulled out strawberries in a egg carton so they would stand up to be filled.
- I put both types of chocolate in a bowl and melted cooking 30 seconds at a time in the microwave and stirring after each 30 seconds until nice and creamy.
- Then pour, funnel (which I did), or spoon the chocolate into the berries. and wait for the chocolate to harden. That's it. We did serve them with some whipped cream to drip them in.
