Put beans, paste, sauce, beef, onion and chili powder in pot. Add about 1-2 cups of water. Be sure to stir often and use something to chop up the beef if needed. I love the Mix and Chop from Pampered Chef for this!! (no I have am not getting paid to say that just really loved that utensil).
Add water as needed so that you can get desired consistency. I let my cook on medium until it was boiling. Then I reduced the heat to a simmer and covered. I let it cook about another hour, stirring occasionally.
