Hello Fresh: Review

fresh

A few weeks ago I got my first Blue Apron box and I wrote about it here. Then I got a couple for half off a coupon so I thought I would give Hello Fresh a try. If you are interested in tying out this service for yourself you can get $40 off your first box by going to www.Hellofresh.com and put in the referral code N4W9FK ( will also get some credit if you order).

Hello Fresh Delivers all the ingredients to your door  and you have all you need for a fresh home cooked meal. You can pick a vegetarian box or a classic box, 3 meals for 2 or 4 people. I got a classic box for 2 people. Since I have 3 members in my family I added a bit to these meals to stretch them to feed us all and it was easy to do. They service does not have an option to opt out for certain allergens, BUT allergens are listed when you pick the meals.

Again there were items in my box that I have never cooked with before so I enjoyed trying something new. There was one meal in this box that none of us really enjoyed but that is always possible when trying a new recipe.

I do like that everything you need for a recipe comes in one of these smaller white boxes so you really can pull it out of the box or fridge and start cooking.

Above was the view from the top of the box as I opened it and below are all 3 meal boxes and the meat for each meal.
