More on Juicing for our Smoothies.

Like I have mentioned before my husband has gotten on a smoothie kick and I am so thankful. He does not LOVE his veggies so I have been working on hard on getting more veggies into his smoothies. I do add raw spinach but I don't think he would handle other green such as kale. I also add some avocado to the mix, but that is still not enough for me. SO I have been juicing carrots, romaine lettuce, beets etc and freezing so I can just toss a few of these frozen veggies in his smoothie. I the picture above I had several avocados that were ripe and we were heading out of town so I threw them with a banana or two into the blender then froze.
Ingredients
- Banana - 1/2
- Avocado - 1/3
- Baby Spinach - 2 handfuls
- A Little Kefir
- Hand full of Frozen Blueberries
- Frozen Fruit
Instructions
- A typical smoothie for the man who won't eat fruits and veggies goes something like this. 1/2 banana, 1/3 avocado, 2 handfuls of baby spinach, a little kefir, hand full of frozen blueberries, and a little other frozen fruit what ever we have.
- About 3 frozen fruit juice cubs and 5 frozen veggie cubes. Then I added juice and or almond milk to blend.
