Beating this Summer Heat in The Kitchen

Ann Kelly here, It is HOT here like over a 100 degrees for several days which is not normal for this time of year where I live. So here are  a few ideas to help keep the HEAT out of the kitchen. (click on the title in purple to go to the recipe).

Cook once and eat twice. If you are grilling or baking chicken, cook twice as much as you need so the second night you can throw it on a salad like Chicken and Pistacho Salad or the Southwestern Salad.

Grill EVERYTHING for a meal OUTSIDE like Grilling veggies while you grill your burgers or steak.

Eat lots of FRESH fruits and veggies that are  season and with some great Hummus or other dip of your choice they can make a great snack, lunch, or side to any meal.

Enjoy Cool drinks and smoothies. Some of our favorites are Nutella Strawberry SmoothieKey Lime Smoothie, and  Strawberry lemonade.

And what is summertime without frozen pops,  We have LOTS of molds and put juice or smoothies in them and freeze for a cold healthy sweet treats.
