Cheddar Box Blonde Brownies

Ingredients
- Unsalted Butter - 14 tablespoons (1 cup minus 2 tablespoons)
- Eggs - 4
- Vanilla - 3 ½ teaspoons
- Brown Sugar - 3 ½ cups ,dark
- Flour - 1 ¾ cups
- Salt - ¾ teaspoon
- Baking Powder - 3 ½ teaspoons
- Roasted Pecans - ¾ cup chopped (see note)
Instructions
- Melt butter. Beat eggs with vanilla. Add sugar. Stir in melted butter with a spatula. Add flour, salt and baking powder. Stir in roasted nuts.
- Grease a 9-by-13 by-2-inch baking dish. Pour in batter (batter will rise quite a bit, so don’t overfill).
- Bake in a 350-degree oven for 30 minutes. Do not overbake.
Note: To roast nuts, place on a cookie sheet. Bake in a 325-degree oven for 5 to 10 minutes, shaking occasionally, until nuts are lightly tanned.
