Thanksgiving is just about here and I have been getting lots of questions about some great recipe Ideas. Everyone has their MUST HAVES at the Thanksgiving table, and here are a few of our favorites. However I am NOT a fan of turkey, I do cook (even though we have no recipes posted) them but I am just not crazy about it. We always have ham along with our turkey. Starters
We like to visit a while before the big meal and that includes some figure type foods.
Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip or Pepper Jelly
Serve with lots of fresh veggie or apple slices also great with diced bread.
Salads
Salads always go over really well at my family’s Thanksgiving meal. It is nice to have something lighter to go with all the heavy dishes.
Chicken, Feta and Strawberry Salad
I would leave the chicken off of this salad for Thanksgiving but it the light flavors of the fruit goes great with a heavy meal.
Here is another great light salad.
Ham
Since we are not big Turkey fans at our house Ham plays a big part in our meal.
If we are not going to have a Honey Baked Ham this is what we serve.
Side Dishes
This is the best part of the meal for me.
Mashed Potatoes are my all time favorite food and Thanksgiving is just not the same with out them.
This casserole is great and here is a Little Healthier Version.
Baked Pineapple AKA Pineapple Casserole
This is ALWAYS a HUGE HIT.
This is made every Thanksgiving and Christmas and is a family favorite.
Cherry Pecan Stuffing (Dressing)
I made this dressing last year since I am not crazy about regular Dressing.
